Russell P. Dawn is an historian of Christianity and Christian thought. A former attorney and investment banker, he is completing a doctorate in historical theology at Oxford University. His works have been published in Reformation and Renaissance Review and the British journal Anvil, with another piece in process with the Sixteenth Century Journal. He has also presented papers at conferences in Cambridge and York, U.K., and in St. Louis, Missouri.

His research specializes in the Reformation and in post-Reformation English theology. In particular he focuses on the Lord's Supper, the doctrine of the Church, and the roles of divine grace and human freewill in salvation. His current research examines the life and thought of the English theologian Dr Richard Field (1561-1616), Canon of Windsor and chaplain to King James I.

Dr. Dawn is Adjunct Professor of Religion at Lindenwood University in St. Charles, Missouri, where he teaches on the religious underpinnings of Western civilization. His teaching interests also include world religions and the history of Christian doctrine.
