Today on the Desiring God Blog<\/a>, the man I am honored to call my pastor is profiled. In a very engaging article you can read of his upbringing in Africa, move to the the UK and the remarkable things that God has accomplished through him. In February Tope will be preaching at the Desiring God conference. I plan on accompanying him, and I would urge my American readers to come along to what looks like it will be a fantastic event. Reminiscent of Tope\u2019s conversion, in 2005 Jubilee Church moved to a movie theater with around 100 people. Immediately the church began to grow, and now has more than 1,000 weekly attendees, a church of considerable size in London. The church also reflects the city\u2019s cosmopolitan nature and has more than fifty nationalities represented.\u201cTope is the real deal,\u201d says Adrian Warnock, a prominent Christian blogger who has served with Tope since he also joined Jubilee Church in 1995. \u201cHe\u2019s a man of prayer, joy, and humility. He\u2019s a very wise and gifted leader \u2014 he\u2019s a prophetic leader. And he is both a pastor of pastors and the leader of a growing church.\u201dHe\u2019s a leader and a trainer of leaders.<\/p>\n

Those around him affirm that he\u2019s a humble and joyful servant who is driven to serve others through self-sacrifice. Tope is a man who loves the lost, cares deeply for his own growing church, and is driven by a firm conviction of the authority and sufficiency of Scripture and a profound trust in the supernatural work of God in even the most remote and dimmest of situations.<\/p>\n
