It is important to discern the reason for this. Sometimes it is simply that <a title=\"God\u2019s Word for those who cannot sleep\" href=\"https:\/\/www.patheos.com\/blogs\/adrianwarnock\/2013\/07\/sleep\/\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\">we need a good night\u2019s sleep.<\/a> At other times it will be because we have over-burdened ourselves with work, and need to <a title=\"The four pillars of mental health and wellbeing\" href=\"https:\/\/www.patheos.com\/blogs\/adrianwarnock\/2013\/06\/the-four-pillars-of-mental-health-and-wellbeing\/\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\">strengthen our four pillars of mental health<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Other times there will be a spiritual element to this and we must learn to come to Jesus who is the only one who can give us true rest. At the end of this post is a video sermon that my pastor Tope Koleoso preached a few weeks ago now, it was very well received and both diagnoses and treats the problem. But before we get to that, let me share a couple of Bible verses with you that speak about weariness:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.\u201d<br>\n(Matthew 11:28\u201330).<\/p>\n<p>Why do you say, O Jacob,<br>\nand speak, O Israel,<br>\n\u201cMy way is hidden from the LORD,<br>\nand my right is disregarded by my God\u201d?<br>\nHave you not known? Have you not heard?<br>\nThe LORD is the everlasting God,<br>\nthe Creator of the ends of the earth.<br>\nHe does not faint or grow weary;<br>\nhis understanding is unsearchable.<br>\nHe gives power to the faint,<br>\nand to him who has no might he increases strength.<br>\nEven youths shall faint and be weary,<br>\nand young men shall fall exhausted;<br>\nbut they who wait for the LORD shall renew their strength;<br>\nthey shall mount up with wings like eagles;<br>\nthey shall run and not be weary;<br>\nthey shall walk and not faint.<br>\n(Isaiah 40:27\u201331).<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/player.vimeo.com\/video\/69116623?dnt=1&amp;app_id=122963\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"autoplay; fullscreen; picture-in-picture; clipboard-write; encrypted-media\"><\/iframe> <a href=\"http:\/\/jubileechurchlondon.org\/2013\/06\/rest-for-the-weary\/\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">downloads<\/a> of the message are also available.<\/p>\n<\/body><\/html>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Weariness comes on all of us sometimes.
