\u201cJonah 2:9 \u201csalvation is of the Lord.\u201d Ed Clowney says this is the central verse of the Bible. It is of the Lord. Jonah knew this, but did not know this! If you think you understand the Gospel \u2013 you don\u2019t. If you think you don\u2019t understand the basics of the Gospel \u2013 you do.<\/p>\n

Religion \u2013 I obey and I am accepted.<\/p>\n

Christianity \u2013 I am accepted by Christ\u2019s finished work, therefore I obey.<\/p>\n

If salvation is by grace, there is nothing Christ cannot ask of me . . .<\/p>\n

God brings life out of death. An example of how Christ is sustaining us in weakness can give much credibility. You know you have met God when you limp \u2013 MLJ. \u201cI don\u2019t think he\u2019s been humbled yet.\u201d You don\u2019t believe it in the depths of your being yet. You are not a strength out of weakness person. You are not a sign yet.<\/p>\n
