No. 28<\/em><\/strong> on the list of most-read posts on this blog<\/a> appeared on September 2, 2006, and was written in response to a request for a short \u201cbiography\u201d of myself. That post provided a brief introduction to me, and included links to a number of posts I had written sharing my story so far. I am publishing the original short post<\/a> here in its entirety. I really must get around to bringing my story up-to-date in 2008!<\/p>\n

I have been asked to write a short \u201cbiographical\u201d piece, so thought I would share it here. I am also slowly working my way through telling my story<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Adrian Warnock blogs at http:\/\/adrianwarnock.com\/<\/a>. He runs the Warnie Awards<\/em> which recognize blogging excellence, and the Blogdom of God<\/em>\u2014a widely varied list of blogs written by Christians.<\/p>\n

Adrian is a regular preacher at Jubilee Church<\/em> in London, UK<\/a> \u2013 which is part of a reformed charismatic group called Newfrontiers<\/a><\/em>. He is a medical doctor trained as a psychiatrist, and now works in research. My writing draws on my scientific training as a doctor and psychiatrist, my work in the UK's National Health Service and the pharmaceutical industry, alongside more than twenty-five years as a member of a growing church where I served on the leadership team offering pastoral care. My perspective has also been shaped by chronic illness since 2017, when I developed life-threatening pneumonia that caused lasting damage to my body, triggered several further conditions, and uncovered a diagnosis of blood cancer. This was successfully treated, although doctors expect it to return in the future. Out of these experiences I founded Blood Cancer Uncensored, an online patient-led support community. Hope Reborn: How to Become a Christian and Live for Jesus These books bring together medical, psychological, social, and faith-based insights, advocating for a biopsychosocial\u2013spiritual model of wellbeing.
