The appointment of Joel Edwards, general director of the U.K.\u2019s Evangelical Alliance, as a commissioner to the nation\u2019s Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) has drawn complaints from gay activists.<\/p>\n

Formed to enforce legislation guaranteeing age, ethnic, disability, gender, and sexual preference equality, the EHRC brings together the U.K.\u2019s three previous equality commissions. The Equality Act (Sexual Orientation) Regulations 2007, which went into effect on January 1, added prohibitions against treating anyone \u201cless favorably than he treats or would treat others\u201d on the grounds of sexual orientation. This was successfully treated, although doctors expect it to return in the future. Out of these experiences I founded Blood Cancer Uncensored, an online patient-led support community. Hope Reborn: How to Become a Christian and Live for Jesus These books bring together medical, psychological, social, and faith-based insights, advocating for a biopsychosocial\u2013spiritual model of wellbeing.
