Many Christians simplistically believe that when we die we will \u201cgo to heaven to be with Jesus forever.\u201d The truth is that 1 Corinthians 15 and other Scriptures make clear that we will one day be reunited with our bodies.<\/p>\n
From Revelation 21 it is clear that the heavenly city will descend from the skies and remain on earth. God will dwell with us on the new earth. So it would almost seem that heaven itself will invade earth, and that in some way we will be in heaven and earth simultaneously. This is something of a mystery, but one worth pondering.
