I even found myself reading my favorite blogs once or twice.  But it seemed important to take a step back, enjoy the family and spend a bit less time in front of the screen.<\/p>\n<p>Blogging is a great way to think out loud and to learn from others blogs, and from their reactions to you.  I have been very grateful to be part of this revolution, and as those from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.jubilee-church.org\/sermons\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Jubilee Church<\/a> who read this blog have discovered, my sermons there have definitely benefited from this blog and the internet as a whole.  In fact this is a great outlet for the odd ideas that are floating around my head and for the quotes I find in books and websites I read.  This is kind of like a primeaval soup out of which my sermons and even \u2018real\u2019 face to face conversations arise.<\/p>\n<p>A blog is also an opportunity to reflect, contemplate and record stories you never want to forget. What an interesting resource they are likely to make future historians too.  But since the majority of blog readers are those who already blog, I don\u2019t need to pursuade my readers that they are great do I?<br><\/p>\n<\/body><\/html>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Well I am back, and back with a vengance. My perspective has also been shaped by chronic illness since 2017, when I developed life-threatening pneumonia that caused lasting damage to my body, triggered several further conditions, and uncovered a diagnosis of blood cancer. This was successfully treated, although doctors expect it to return in the future. Out of these experiences I founded Blood Cancer Uncensored, an online patient-led support community. I am the author of the Transformed by Jesus: Spiritual Renewal series of books, which ask: \u2192 Is the Easter story true, and what does it mean? Hope Reborn: How to Become a Christian and Live for Jesus These books bring together medical, psychological, social, and faith-based insights, advocating for a biopsychosocial\u2013spiritual model of wellbeing.
