We don’t have a well developed Christian Media presense, but most of them, like most pastors would tend to take a rather detached view when it comes to politics. Although it would not be said, it is almost as though we believe that the church should be separate from politics on this side of the pond. In the US the impression I have gathered so far is that Republicicanism is almost identified with Christianity in many minds. Whils there is a similar link between the Conservatives and some Chruchgoers it certainly doesnt feel as strong as it appears to be in US politics as far as I can tell.

Judging from Hugh Hewitt’s comment: “Kerry’s a stiff with a glass jaw” it would seem that this is one Christian who is very engaged with the politics of his nation.

Odd then, that the US is the country that argues for the separation of church and sate.
