God. Creator of everything out of nothing. All powerful. Sovereign over every atom. Ruler with no rival. Glorious. Holy. The one who eternally is. <\/p>\n

Who am I? Nothing that\u2019s what. It really is all about Jesus, not me. After a session that begun in a rousing rejoicing delighting time in the presence of God here at the Newfrontiers prayer and fasting I found myself hit with the sledgehammer which is Simon Brading\u2019s song \u201cOur God he reigns\u201d. Laid low before the God who rules whether I like it or not. Convicted of my pride, embarrassed by the frustration I have too often in my heart. <\/p>\n

Then, glorious mix of the weighty holy presence of God and the promise of the gospel. Building up to that glorious new hymn co-written by one of our own song writers \u201cIn Christ Alone\u201d. This same God died for me, was raised for me, now reigns and pleads for me and I am FREE. \u201cJesus commands my destiny\u201d. Humble confidence. Indebted yet called a friend of the one who cannot be limited or constrained. Empowered by this risen Jesus. Envisioned by a glimpse of glory. Head lifted. Strength and faith increasing. <\/p>\n

Then an outpouring of the Spirit. Intense presence of the Loving Spirit. Assuring us. Filling us. Release of annointing and new gifts. Specific prophecies for some including me. Ministry time The hand of God on us. Those in storms being touched. And all the time a fresh filling with the Spirit with tangible outward signs. Promises of fruitfulness. Intimacy with God in the middle of a crowd. Singled out by God. More salt to season our conversation. Robustness. No corruption. Grace to lead. Authority. The rest that comes from knowing God. A peace that passes understanding. A trust in him that stops us from taking things into our own hands. Anger and fear and frustration fleeing away. A feeling that this could be a moment that life changes. May people see \u201cthat one has been with God\u201d. May I go from here a different man. May my wife notice. May my kids be aware of a. change. May my ministry be seasoned with grace. <\/p>\n

And to think this is just the first session! I wasn\u2019t planning on blogging and I may not blog much more. But all I can say is that this session gave me a fresh insight into what our times of worship and prayer together can be like. <\/p>\n
