First of all, \u2018faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God.\u2019 Stories of Johnny Cash and Bono are great for making connections, but I hope our cyber-evangelists will make the same effort at getting people into the Word of God as they do in making connections.<br>\n<br>Secondly, I am still flummoxed as to how we are going to create authentic Christian communities in the cyberworld. Several years ago George Barna was telling us that something like 10% or 20% of people get their spiritual feeding through the internet and the numbers are growing. So, he told us that the church needs to be in cyber-space. He was even recommending that churches have \u2018internet ministers.\u2019 That\u2019s all well and good, but how do we get Acts 2:42-47 style community in cyberspace or the blogosphere. I am sure that all of the cyber-evangelists would agree that the connections made through the internet are a starting point, and should lead to a love for the Word of God and Christian community. But, on a practical level, I don\u2019t see how it happens. Would love to though. <\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>One possible partial solution to this is <a href=\"http:\/\/www.jubilee-church.org\/sermons\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">audio sermons online<\/a> of course- but this will NEVER in my view replace the physical GATHERING of the church!<\/p>\n<\/body><\/html>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Jollyblogger impresses me again when speaking about blogging : \u201cI see two areas where Christians need to take this to the next level.
