\"neversay\"<\/a>Nathan was always traveling. It was simply part of his job, and his wife knew that before they even married. It didn\u2019t mean that she liked it, though. It wasn\u2019t that Andrea didn\u2019t trust Nathan, it was that she always had this sinking feeling in her stomach each time he left for a long trip.\u00a0<\/span>
\u00a0<\/span>
\u201cYou\u2019re being silly,\u201d Nathan would tell her, always with a kiss. \u201cYou know that I always come back. This isn\u2019t goodbye!\u201d<\/span>
\u00a0<\/span>
As much as Nathan tried to reassure Andy, she couldn\u2019t shake the anxiety. So much that she went to her doctor for medication, and although it took the edge off, she still had that nagging feeling.\u00a0<\/span>
\u00a0<\/span>
It was June of 2015 when her intuition turned into reality, and the phone call came that her husband had been traveling on the freeway to his account when a truck tire blew and flew over over the freeway into oncoming traffic. Nathan tried to avoid the debris, but\u2026..<\/span>
\u00a0<\/span>
The funeral was surreal as she sat with their four teenagers. All of them numb to the fact that he wouldn\u2019t be walking in the door, with his crooked smile and infectious laughter.\u00a0<\/span>
\u00a0<\/span>
Andrea had made an appointment with me last year, specifically to speak to her mom, never imagining that instead her appointment would fall\u00a0the day\u00a0after Nathan\u2019s funeral. I tell clients to wait close to a year after the passing. Not only is an adjustment period for those here, it\u2019s an adjustment period for those on the other side. They need to find their voice, so to speak (no pun intended). When Andrea sat down she was surrounded by loved ones, and front and center was the most handsome man who showed me his wedding ring, a sign for me that it\u2019s a spouse. \u00a0<\/span>
\u00a0<\/span>
\u201cThere\u2019s a man here who says he loves you very much, and that you were right, he should\u2019ve listened. He\u2019s sorry.\u201d<\/span>
\u00a0<\/span>
Andrea began to cry.\u00a0<\/span>
\u00a0<\/span>
\u201cAlthough he wishes he were here, he wants you to know that it isn\u2019t goodbye.\u201d<\/span>
\u00a0<\/span>
Andrea looked up at me and asked me to repeat myself.\u00a0<\/span>
\u00a0<\/span>
\u201cHe says this isn\u2019t goodbye, it\u2019s a different kind of hello.\u201d<\/span>
\u00a0<\/span>
It was what he said after every conversation on the phone, and every time he walked out the door on his travels. Even in the afterlife he was letting her know he would be around.\u00a0<\/span>
\u00a0<\/span>
Over the last few days I\u2019ve received hate mail. I\u2019ve been threatened and I\u2019ve had horrible, horrible things said to me all because I bring through connections. As much as it\u2019s upsetting, I was (and am still) most concerned with the treatment that another human can give to another, without even knowing them.. It certainly isn\u2019t the universe I would hope to be living in. Last night I received a phone call from Andy. She had seen the comments and wanted to offer some validation.<\/span>
\u00a0<\/span>
It had only been a couple months since Nathan had crossed and she had been receiving signs in the form of HELLO. She gave me several different examples, which all seemed interesting and odd, but they were giving her reassurance that this world isn\u2019t the end, just the end as how we know it.\u00a0<\/span>
\u00a0<\/span>
So we can allow others to belittle or challenge our beliefs, or we can believe, with healthy skepticism. I choose the latter.\u00a0<\/span>
\u00a0<\/span>
You are all able to make your own connection. You don\u2019t need me, or another medium, you simply need to tune out, tune in and see\u00a0your<\/i>\u00a0hello.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>
