$\"family\"$ <\/a>\u201cLet\u2019s have some iced tea and chill in front of the television tonight,\u201d my husband suggested.<\/p>\n

I\u2019d worked all day, afternoon and evening and I was feeling lousy \u2013 just another dog day of summer here in Michigan, so sitting in the cool family room with the idiot box on, not having to think, sounded like a plan.<\/p>\n

Chuck and I perused the television listings and decided on Celebrity Family Feud<\/a> since I couldn\u2019t convince him to watch\u00a0Sister Wives. The first half hour was Kellie Pickler, country artist (American Idol) and television personality, and Lance Bass, singer and dancer (NSync). Now I won\u2019t even mention how I was confused to see their choice of celebrities. Wait, I just did.<\/p>\n

I\u2019ve always liked Family Feud. It\u2019s fun to try and guess the questions. I like Steve Harvey too. He has personality.<\/p>\n

First question with Kellie and Lance up to bat. \u201cWe asked 100 women \u2013 name something specific that only your man is allowed to do to your behind?\u201d<\/p>\n

Wait. What? Say that again? Now I\u2019m not prude, but where\u2019s the class? It had to get better, right? It didn\u2019t. \u201cIt would be awkward if you received an inappropriate text from who?\u201d This is a prime time eight-o-clock spot. And before you say kids have heard it all before, do they have to keep hearing it?<\/p>\n

The next half hour was Nene Leakes from Real Housewives of Atlanta (I had to look her up) and Ernie Hudson, known most for\u00a0the movie\u00a0Ghostbusters (and I\u2019ve met him at several conferences I\u2019ve done so this one I at least knew). \u00a0Nene had her two sons with her, albeit they looked to be adults, however the questions were no less risque from \u201cName something you would want done to you from your head to your toes?\u201d to \u201cIf your man was naked in a sport\u2019s calendar \u00a0what ball would he have to cover his parts\u201d or something like that. \u00a0The innuendos kept coming too.<\/p>\n

Steve Harvey is getting paid, but I still felt bad for him. I didn\u2019t find any of it funny. I didn\u2019t find any of it fun. And it absolutely not family friendly. It made me miss wholesome television. Yeah, Sister Wives more than likely wouldn\u2019t have been much better, so maybe I\u2019ll just get my DVD\u2019s out and watch some Andy Griffith shows, or perhaps The Waltons.<\/p>\n

Or I\u2019m just getting old. Now, get off my lawn.<\/p>\n
