<\/a><\/p>\nThe New Moon is the darkest phase of the Moon, but it also marks the beginning of the two-week time frame when the Moon moves away from the Sun and increases in light, which it a great time to begin new projects, new love, new careers or anything else new you want to do (or are afraid to do)! This New Moon\u00a0began on Monday, July 4th.<\/p>\n
This moon in CANCER is great for:
\n\u2022 Home projects
\n\u2022 Being honest with yourself and others with regards to your relationship
\n\u2022 Beginning new hobbies or an artistic study
\n\u2022 Start a family
\n\u2022 Get a mammogram or girly exam
\n\u2022 Explore your ancestor
\n\u2022 Spend time with family
\n\u2022 Signing up for school
\n\u2022 Spend time around water
\n\u2022 Embrace the emotions that you feel<\/p>\n
When we are in Cancer, we often \u2018feel\u2019 everything and seeing that Cancer rules Motherhood, you may feel very emotional during this time. If your mom has crossed over, there may be an aching to talk to her. Or if you are lucky to still have mom here, you may be urged to call or spend time with her. Note that this time does in fact effect everyone, not just those born under the Cancer sign.<\/p>\n
As I meditated and thought of this New Moon I heard Devo\u2019s song \u201cWhip It\u201d in my head:<\/p>\n
Now whip it

\nShape it up
\nGet straight
\nGo forward
\nMove ahead
\nTry to detect it
\nIt\u2019s not too late
\nTo whip it
\nWhip it good<\/p>\n
This is the time for steps forward and moving ahead. It\u2019s time to take flight.<\/p>\n
During this time you might also have chest, breast or stomach issues. Don\u2019t discount them as astrological, however, and seek medical attention.<\/p>\n
Here are some good \u201cexercises\u201d for you to do:<\/p>\n
NEW MOON WISHES:<\/strong>
\n\u2022 Each month on the new moon write up a list of 10 wishes. It can be anything from romance to finances and anything in between.
\n\u2022 Don\u2019t write more than 10 wishes AND handwrite (don\u2019t type, it makes it more personable.
\n\u2022 Try to make your wish list within the first eight hours of the new moon, and not when the moon is void because your wishes become null and void.
\nIf you miss the first eight hours, you can still make your wish list within the first 48 hours of the new moon.<\/p>\nNEW MOON ABUNDANCE:<\/strong>
\nWriting an Abundance Check is an exercise you can use to create more abundance in your life and the check is to be written within 24 hours of each New Moon.
\n\u2022 On your check where it says \u201cPay to,\u201d write your name.
\n\u2022 On the same line where you would fill in a dollar amount write \u201cPaid in full.\u201d
\n\u2022 On the next line where you would write out a dollar amount, write \u201cPaid in full.\u201d [Some say it works better if you don\u2019t add the squiggly line.]
\n\u2022 On the signature line, sign your check: \u201cThe Law of Abundance\u201d<\/p>\nIf you don\u2019t have checks, or don\u2019t; want to waste one, you can simply create a handwritten one.<\/p>\n
It is not necessary to put a date on the check (although I do). DO NOT write a specific dollar amount on the check. Then put the check away in a safe place and forget about it. You might even want to burn it on the Full Moon (I will get to that on the next Full Moon).<\/p>\n
Allow the Universe to take over from there. Yep, that silly control thing. Let it go!<\/p>\n
