When the whirled is all inhuman<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Flower, what can I say<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

To the angel flaming <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Flower-spectrumed in <\/span>Eden<\/span>?<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Shall I ask this angel<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Who\u2019s got my mind in hock,<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Who burns my eyeballs green,<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Who strips the gears of my soul<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Naked, for wisdom? No,<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

It\u2019s the always instant <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Of knowing nakedness<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

That makes us men. When self<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Begins to speak again, the leaf<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Will mean again, and be<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Less real. I will decide,<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

And see an abstract leaf.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

8. The Judgement of the Leaf<\/span><\/span><\/em><\/span><\/h4>\n

Impairative of an impeerious god:<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Not to turn away<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

From chaos, no matter how<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

It burns my fundamental rock.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Faced or unfaced,<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Chaos doesn\u2019t disappear.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

It\u2019s never overcome;<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

It\u2019s always there,<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

And any order is in ignorance<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Of chaos, and every poem\u2019s a mask<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

That makes and cannot cure dis pair,<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

And reason\u2019s deck tells no fortunes,<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Cannot trump a leaf in sunlight,<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

And thought is ugly imitation<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Of this leaf, and every word\u2019s<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

A ruen of some mythology.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Yet fire is just a mask.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Everything\u2019s a mask.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

There are no masks.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

There is no mystery<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

A leaf is everything<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

It seems, and more.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

It\u2019s searching<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Makes it metaphor.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

So, there\u2019s only history.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

9. The Voice of the Hermit<\/span><\/span><\/em><\/span><\/h4>\n

don\u2019t mess with it. It doesn\u2019t<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

care if you burn or not.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
