I’ve been in mellow mode these last few days and I can’t get Something’s Missing by John Mayer out of my head. Soooo opposed to trying to shake it, I’m having personal karaoke time.
I ABSOLUTELY love this song. It’s been 10 years since I first heard it and there’s still such a draw for me to listen to it. I put it on, close my eyes and I’m transported back to my 18 year old self sitting on an airplane. The world beneath me, in the sky and heading into something unknown with excitement.
Maybe that’s what drawn me to it today – a sense of possibility. I’ll get into in more depth later but I feel like I’m in the air moving toward something but not exactly sure of what I’ll find. I suppose nearly 28 year old me is as in love with possibility as her teenage counterpart…maybe moreso.
I just know that 10 years ago, around this time, I was having time of my life in the Louisiana bayou up to my knees in mud and that mud changed my life.
