In an interesting (or expected, depending on your point of view) twist on the war against terror, Bosnian government officials have been raiding<\/a> Islamic charities for suspected links to Al-Qaeda. These actions came to light in connection with US efforts<\/a> to shut down Islamic charities, which included coordinated raids in Bosnia. To date, eight groups have been raided, with some employees sent the US facility in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba (and you thought everyone there was captured during combat). Bosnian Islamic groups have begun to criticize<\/a> the government for being indiscriminate, noting that a Bosnian court verdict was ignored when the first arrests were made. \u201cIslamic humanitarian organizations are raided and investigated not because they have done something wrong but because of suspicion they might think of doing something wrong,\u201d said Mustafa Ceric<\/a>, Bosnia\u2019s chief religious leader.<\/p>\n
