Traveling from city to city across North America, businesswoman Tayyibah Taylor signs up subscribers one at a time for Azizah Magazine<\/a>, a dynamic new publication by and for Muslim women. \u201cI wanted it to be for all ethnicities,\u201d Taylor recalls, \u201ca forum where the Muslim woman\u2019s interests, issues and voices could find expression.\u201d Taylor turned a passion for writing about Islam into a magazine with a range of topics, including feminism and Islam, investment strategies, environmentalism, and successful marriages. It is also one of the first Muslim magazines with no affiliation<\/a> to a particular Islamic ethnic group or school of thought. Spotlights have profiled a Baltimore City Circuit Court judge<\/a> and a clinical psychologist focusing on depression. Showing off her business acumen along with her journalistic skills, Taylor has achieved a rarity in the publishing world \u2013 making a profit<\/a> less than three years after Azizah\u2019s first issue. <\/p>\n
