The City of New York, <\/em>a lawsuit seeking to prove that the New York City Police Department\u2019s surveillance of Muslims in New Jersey is unconstitutional. Several lawmakers have also petitioned the Department of Justice to launch an investigation into FBI violations of constitutionally-protected rights of American Muslims.<\/p>\n We in the American Muslim community are grateful for those who work with us and for us to defend the civil liberties of all Americans. And we\u2019d like to show our support by launching another #ThankYou campaign<\/a> on Twitter today, Friday, June 8, 2012.<\/strong><\/p>\n We hope you\u2019ll join us to thank those who are fighting for our civil liberties by participating in our Twitter campaign.
