A sad day for Mac fans here in Missoula. Of course Mac-fan psychology being what it is, nothing that ever goes wrong on a Mac is the Mac\u2019s fault \u2013 it\u2019s always the program, the hardware (even if it\u2019s internal, Mac hardware, it\u2019s not the Mac\u2019s fault), or the user(s). Yes, to you of the Mac ideology, I\u2019m a \u2018bitter PC\u00a0stalwart.\u2019 <\/p>\n

But in truth I\u2019ll happily accept that Macs are faster with lots of things and sturdier overall \u2013 and I can\u2019t wait for my girlfriend to buy one so I can play with it. But I think I can honestly say that everyon<\/i>e\u00a0<\/i>I know with a Mac has either had a major hardware failure \u2013 just like any PC \u2013 or a major software problem that could only be solved by a PC (Sjors, my friend in London being one exception, and even he noted with a frown that the speakers on his Macbook sucked compared with those on my PC). In the end I think the wise thing to say is, \u201cit depends on what you do.\u201d If you\u2019re a causal user who wants ease and easy solutions and compatability and flexibility, get a PC, if you want power and sleek and are willing to pay money for the \u2018experience<\/a>\u2018 of a Mac, get a Mac.<\/p>\n

And today at least the proof was in the puddin\u2019:<\/p>\n
