Here are some photos from last night\u2019s welcoming ceremony for Gochen Tulku Sang-ngag Rinpoche<\/a>\u00a0at Ewam in Arlee, Montana. The Sanga up there is really getting fired up now that they have a deadline to finish their Garden of 1000 Buddhas and plenty of planning to do for the visit of His Holiness the Dalai Lama in the fall of 2011.<\/p>\n

See my recent \u201cHow to make a Buddha<\/a>\u201d post for photos on the Buddha-makin\u2019 that you can get involved in if you\u2019re in the area. The monk<\/a>, Konchog Norbu,\u00a0from Bozeman has already been down and is coming back tomorrow \u2013 and word has it that ZeNazi (j\/k) John<\/a> from way out there in the wasteland of South Dakota may make a visit too. And last night I got to meet Padma Yontel (bald guy in the 4th picture down) from Helena and was happy to hear that he has a group there and will be taking back a mold to make Buddhas in my home town. You too can come on out. They have places to stay at the \u201cgompa\u201d and all are welcome \u2013 be sure to contact them first though, so you don\u2019t stumble into a packed retreat.<\/div>\n

Anywho\u2026 Here, in no particular order, are some of the photos from last night. I\u2019ll put more up tomorrow (maybe \u2013 I\u2019m heading out of town for some Goose hunting \u2013 with the camera, not a gun).\n
