And odds are, you know someone for whom Brad\u2019s style will resonate <em>very well<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px;\">Anyhow \u2013 on to the video. Watch it. Meditate.<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>(Oh, and if the bunny suit doesn\u2019t work for you, just close your eyes)<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Brad Warner: Why Should We Meditate?\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/9ybmJH3aTdc?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Warner has also posted an essay expanding on the video:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>One of my top FAQs (that\u2019s Frequently Asked Questions, grandpa!) is \u201cWhy should we meditate?\u201d It\u2019s a good, honest question. And lots of meditation teachers have good answers. A lot of times they\u2019ll quote scientific surveys involving brain scans of meditating monks and things like that. Sometimes they\u2019ll drag out that big doorstop of a book\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/0262511096\/ref=as_li_qf_sp_asin_il_tl?ie=UTF8&amp;camp=1789&amp;creative=9325&amp;creativeASIN=0262511096&amp;linkCode=as2&amp;tag=hardzen-20\" target=\"_blank\" class=\" decorated-link\" rel=\"nofollow\">Zen and the Brain<\/a>\u00a0and show you some graphs in there. But I\u2019ve never read that book. It\u2019s too smart for me. Nor can I understand most of those graphs and charts \u2014 even though I\u2019ve had my brain scanned at least three different times as part of those kinds of studies.<\/p>\n<p>I meditate because I can feel for myself the huge difference it makes in my life.\u00a0I wouldn\u2019t waste an hour or more every day on some activity that wasn\u2019t worthwhile.
