  1. This is clearly a case of the hand (Israel) shooting the foot (Gaza) rather than pulling out the thorn (Hamas). <\/li>\n
  2. As we suffer with (practice compassion<\/span>) the people of Gaza and Israel, it is wise also to practice equanimity and acceptance so that we are not overwhelmed.<\/li>\n
  3. As we look out and see so much suffering, rooted in greed, hatred, and delusion, we should look inward, too, to see that we are connected to that, out there, <\/span>through our own greed, hatred, and delusion. We must have peace within<\/span> as we work for peace in the world.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
