If that alone doesn\u2019t set your appetite ablaze, we actually witnessed one of these \u201cBeer Chicken\u2019s\u201d being served and, just before it goes on the table, it is doused in alcohol and set on fire. Yum. Or something. I\u2019ve had great feedback from family and friends over the years for my photography. But a recent comment from a friend who made his living as a photographer a while back may have pushed me over the edge of <i>actually<\/i>\u00a0trying to put together a show. The only obstacles\u00a0now are time and money (about $150 each for printing and framing).<\/div>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both;text-align: center\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both;text-align: center\"><\/div>\n<p><\/p>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both;text-align: center\"><a href=\"https:\/\/4.bp.blogspot.com\/-MslspwJXgl4\/TVxunGtBjrI\/AAAAAAAABb8\/VwYZ83oh-jU\/s1600\/DSC_2332.NEF-1.jpg\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" border=\"0\" height=\"221\" src=\"https:\/\/4.bp.blogspot.com\/-MslspwJXgl4\/TVxunGtBjrI\/AAAAAAAABb8\/VwYZ83oh-jU\/s320\/DSC_2332.NEF-1.jpg\" width=\"320\"><\/a><\/div>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both;text-align: center\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both;text-align: center\">And a photo after some processing. This is Gibson Reservoir, in NW Montana, taken as our plane approached Great Falls.<\/div>\n<p>Let\u2019s see, home\u2026 Well, you know you\u2019ve returned to the \u2018real\u2019 world when one of the first things you are greeted with is a stack of bills, tax documents and junk mail. If that doesn\u2019t drive it home, being awoken from a jet-lagged stupor (sleep, sweet blessed sleep!) by your father with a to-do list for the next 10 minutes while he get the drywall should do the trick.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou\u2019re not quite awake, there, are you?\u201d he asks. I shake my head. He repeats the instructions and leaves. I think it\u2019s only fair that I had finished exactly zero of the tasks given to me when he returns. I did, however, manage to get two cups of coffee.<\/p>\n<p>And I did spend the next 3 hours helping to put 12-foot slabs of 5\/8s-inch drywall on the ceiling of his new shop\/house extension. At the end of it, he tells me, jokingly, \u201cI told your mother this is good bonding time for the two of us, hopefully we can do a lot of it while you\u2019re here.\u201d I smile, shaking my head.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s good to be home.<\/p><\/div>\n<div class=\"blogger-post-footer\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1\" height=\"1\" src=\"https:\/\/blogger.googleusercontent.com\/tracker\/7907151-8509251727945928553?l=americanbuddhist.blogspot.com\" alt=\"\"><\/div>\n<\/body><\/html>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>or \u201crandom musings from home\u2026\u201d I\u2019m still a bit\u00a0jet-lagged\u00a0so I can\u2019t promise anything too thoughtful.
