Remember when I wrote about The Collection\u2019s splendafrickinriffable album The Art of Dying<\/a>? (Well I don\u2019t care. (That\u2019s what hyperlinks<\/a> are for. (Forgetful punks.))) The band were so kind as to add The Harmonium Project<\/a>\u200b to their tour last spring \u2014 a non-profit music venue full of world-changing potential that my friends and I run in Steubenville, OH.<\/p>\n

They murdered the stage. We ate pancakes, Hope (clarinet) stole my copy of Kierkegaard\u2019s Fear and Trembling <\/em>(the address I wrote on the inside front-cover isn\u2019t mine anymore, you\u2019ll never be able to send it back, whatever, just keep it, it\u2019s not like it\u2019s one of the best books ever) and I maybe-too-enthusiastically proselytized David Wimbish\u200b (frontman) with a copy of The Little Flowers of St. Francis.<\/em>\u00a0(Also, Hayden (bass)\u00a0really likes Carlos Rossi,\u00a0and Tim (drums) knows too much about Ancient Jewish history.)\u00a0We\u00a0were all made the better for the encounter.\u00a0In the midst of all this, the band recorded a video session for us in the top floor of our being-restored building \u2014 because when you\u2019re exploding with kindness and solidarity, why the hell not.<\/p>\n
