Never mind that Christians are not supposed to go to court to solve matters like this (see 1 Cor. 5-6), but this whole thing leads one to ask\u2014 Why didn\u2019t you follow the original instructions to Noah about making sure the ark was literally \u2018pitch\u2019 (i.e. bitumen or tar) perfect? Which part of water tight don\u2019t you get? It was not the insurers who built this replica, so why blame them and send them the bill? There are so many problems with this whole scenario, and don\u2019t even get me started about the guesstimations of what a cubit meant originally. I doubt that\u2019s the scale this ark was built to. And I say all this because there is evidence not only in the Bible but outside the Bible in the legend of Utnapishtim that there was a colossal flood in the ANE long ago that was reported in various ancient sources. I can only characterize this whole dilemma as Christians behaving badly rather than being a good witness to an important Biblical story which I think does have historical origins. <\/p>\n<\/body><\/html>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
