BREATHLESS<\/p>\n

Air expelled,
\nExpected to return\u2026
\nFleeting, fleeing
\nInto the atmosphere<\/p>\n

Crystaline cloud
\nIn January
\nYet disappearing quickly,
\nGone where?
\nDoes air dissipate in air?<\/p>\n

\u2018And God breathed
\nInto the earth creature Adam
\nAnd he quickened\u2019<\/p>\n

Into life
\nInto lies
\nInto living a lie
\nHis death knell
\nTakes your breath away\u2026.<\/p>\n

Breath\/wind\/ spirit
\nIt\u2019s all the same in Hebrew\/Greek
\nAll invisible
\nIndivisible
\nEssential
\nQuintessential.<\/p>\n

Breathing is involuntary
\nUntil we breathe our last
\nBut oddly Spirit enters
\nAt our bidding
\nBut who knows
\nWhich way the Pentecost wind blows?<\/p>\n

A body is animated by life breath
\nHence a living being
\nBut a resurrection body
\nIs animate entirely, permanently, powerfully
\nBy his Spirit, hence a spiritual body.<\/p>\n

Immune to disease, decay, death
\nSuffering, sin, sorrow\u2026..<\/p>\n

But if so\u2014 need we breathe
\nIn the new creation?
\nI\u2019ll not hold my breath
\nWaiting to find out.<\/p>\n

Speak to the bones again Ezekiel
\nTell them to join forces,
\nIt\u2019s time for God\u2019s people to rise up again<\/p>\n

No longer breathless\u2026.
\nNo longer lifeless\u2026
\nNo longer listless,
\nLying in waiting
\nFor heaven\u2019s gate.<\/p>\n
