For some reason I,<\/p>\n
Must ask you why,<\/p>\n
You\u2019re hitching a ride in my car.<\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/p>\n
I wish I had wings<\/p>\n
And could do all the things<\/p>\n
That flying can bring<\/p>\n
But alas, my \u2018wings\u2019 are sub-par.<\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/p>\n
The thing about flying<\/p>\n
And I am not lying<\/p>\n
It involves more than just jumping and trying.<\/p>\n
I\u2019ve learned that much so far.<\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/p>\n
Even moths must come down<\/p>\n
And rest on the ground<\/p>\n
And eat what they\u2019ve found<\/p>\n
Looking for something to mar.<\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/p>\n
They have enough guile<\/p>\n
To hide for a while<\/p>\n
Nibbling my clothes with a smile<\/p>\n
Hence mothballs dispensed from a jar.<\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/p>\n
Didn\u2019t Jesus warn<\/p>\n
Not to store up in barns<\/p>\n
Where moths and rust eat things you adorn?<\/p>\n
At least they left my guitar.<\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/p>\n
I think I now know<\/p>\n
Why butterflies show<\/p>\n
A better way to live and to go.<\/p>\n
They never leave even a scar.<\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/p>\n
Butterflies are free<\/p>\n
Are beautiful to see<\/p>\n
And don\u2019t eat or bother even me.<\/p>\n
Moths however are quite bizarre.<\/p>\n
