Of course you expect when you go to the zoo, you expect to see lions and tigers and bears, oh my!\u00a0 But maybe not this bear\u2026..<\/p>\n

This polar bear was beautiful but suffering in the heat.\u00a0 He should have been in a cooler enclosed area hopefully with snow, and speaking of snow,\u00a0 a snow leopard\u2014\"\"<\/a>\"\"<\/a>\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

The tiger and the lioness seemed to be doing fine in the Louisville heat and humidity.\u00a0 \u00a0I must confess to loving the meerkats\u2026.\u00a0 I wish I had one.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Obviously the rhinos, elephants, and giraffes in the African region are to be expected, and looked fine\u2026<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>\"\"<\/a>\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Or how about a zebra\u2026..?<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Or a tapir with the funny nose?\u00a0 He looks like a pig on a diet.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

I had never seen a red panda up close before\u2026.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Or a silverback gorilla having lunch\u2026.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Or a silly ring-tailed lemur<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Or an animal named after a Germany shoe company\u2014 Puma \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Yes there were a few interesting fish and snakes as well\u2026.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>\"\"<\/a>\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Did I mentioned an albino alligator???<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Or how about lizards\u2013 a small komodo dragon and an iguana\u2026<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

And in the end, after a lot of looking, I finally found the missing lynx\u2026.<\/p>\n
