This one is an iron bridge, which the train once crossed on Presa St.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/wp-media.patheos.com\/blogs\/sites\/55\/2023\/11\/thumbnail_20231116_140326.jpeg\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-60815\" src=\"https:\/\/wp-media.patheos.com\/blogs\/sites\/55\/2023\/11\/thumbnail_20231116_140326.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>There are sculptures to see along the way.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/wp-media.patheos.com\/blogs\/sites\/55\/2023\/11\/thumbnail_20231116_135605.jpeg\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-60818\" src=\"https:\/\/wp-media.patheos.com\/blogs\/sites\/55\/2023\/11\/thumbnail_20231116_135605.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"480\" height=\"640\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>This of course is St. Anthony himself, but there are various other sorts of sculptures both ancient and modern in style.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/wp-media.patheos.com\/blogs\/sites\/55\/2023\/11\/thumbnail_20231116_140237.jpeg\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-60821\" src=\"https:\/\/wp-media.patheos.com\/blogs\/sites\/55\/2023\/11\/thumbnail_20231116_140237.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"480\" height=\"640\"><\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/wp-media.patheos.com\/blogs\/sites\/55\/2023\/11\/thumbnail_20231116_135519-1.jpeg\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-60824\" src=\"https:\/\/wp-media.patheos.com\/blogs\/sites\/55\/2023\/11\/thumbnail_20231116_135519-1.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"480\" height=\"640\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>And there are garden spots along the way, and small waterfalls as well as a heart-shaped island where couples propose to each other and weddings are even held. At the bridge just beyond the island couples put love locks on the railings of the bridge. <a href=\"https:\/\/wp-media.patheos.com\/blogs\/sites\/55\/2023\/11\/thumbnail_20231116_140401.jpeg\" height=\"640\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The pace on the river is not \u2018rollin\u2019 but leisurely, hence this sign.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/wp-media.patheos.com\/blogs\/sites\/55\/2023\/11\/thumbnail_20231116_142700.jpeg\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-60842\" src=\"https:\/\/wp-media.patheos.com\/blogs\/sites\/55\/2023\/11\/thumbnail_20231116_142700.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"480\" height=\"640\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The stories behind some of these taller buildings on the riverwalk is sad, for instance the one below.\u00a0 The builders spent some 30 million to build this towering structure in the late 1920s, only for disaster to strike in 1929 through the stock market crash, and they had to sell the building for 300 thousand.\u00a0 Notice the gargoyles meant to ward off evil spirits\u2013 which didn\u2019t do their job in 1929.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/wp-media.patheos.com\/blogs\/sites\/55\/2023\/11\/thumbnail_20231116_140619.jpeg\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-60845\" src=\"https:\/\/wp-media.patheos.com\/blogs\/sites\/55\/2023\/11\/thumbnail_20231116_140619.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\"><\/a><a height=\"640\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Here\u2019s a different building built to look like a sailing vessel with a big prow.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/wp-media.patheos.com\/blogs\/sites\/55\/2023\/11\/thumbnail_20231116_140753.jpeg\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" height=\"640\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>They obviously liked brown two tone buildings, but here\u2019s a red one\u2026<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/wp-media.patheos.com\/blogs\/sites\/55\/2023\/11\/thumbnail_20231116_140522.jpeg\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" height=\"640\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>You can start your boat tour from various places on the river, including at the River Center itself well numerous shops are\u2026.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/wp-media.patheos.com\/blogs\/sites\/55\/2023\/11\/thumbnail_20231116_135233.jpeg\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-60860\" src=\"https:\/\/wp-media.patheos.com\/blogs\/sites\/55\/2023\/11\/thumbnail_20231116_135233.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The tour takes under an hour, is inexpensive and good for whole families (these boats do hold about 20 or so folks), and it is well worth
