There are not many Renoir paintings in this museum, but then there was a debate as to whether he should be grouped with the Impressionists anyway. But here are two of his more famous paintings\u2026<\/p>\n

Another artist who is under-represented in Orsay is Paul Cezanne, which is a great pity as he was very skilled\u2026 Here\u2019s a village scene<\/p>\n

Here is his self-portrait, looking a little peeved with himself. \"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Here\u2019s his painting entitled \u2018The game of cards\u2019<\/p>\n

There are some interesting one offs, and this one caused quite a stir in Paris, since it involved, a supposed proper woman, in the nude at a picnic sitting with two fully dressed men.<\/p>\n
