href=\"https:\/\/wp-media.patheos.com\/blogs\/sites\/55\/2024\/07\/thumbnail_20240623_142428-1-scaled.jpg\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" not there, called Francois de Paule, painted by Nicolas Tournier<a href=\"https:\/\/wp-media.patheos.com\/blogs\/sites\/55\/2024\/07\/thumbnail_20240623_142500-scaled.jpg\" class=\" decorated-link\" height=\"1024\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Of a very different ilk is this painting focused on Seneca, the great Roman Stoic philosopher.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/wp-media.patheos.com\/blogs\/sites\/55\/2024\/07\/thumbnail_20240623_143209-scaled.jpg\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-67020\" src=\"https:\/\/wp-media.patheos.com\/blogs\/sites\/55\/2024\/07\/thumbnail_20240623_143209-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Charles le Brun painted this with the title the Tomb of Seneca.<\/p>\n<p>By contrast, we have the painting of St. Francis in ecstasy\u2014by Peintre Anonyme, an anonymous painter\u2026<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/wp-media.patheos.com\/blogs\/sites\/55\/2024\/07\/thumbnail_20240623_142204.jpeg\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\"
