Or is truth like a diamond<\/p>\n
Multi-faceted<\/p>\n
Refracting pure light<\/p>\n
Into many colors?<\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/p>\n
Or is truth like a brick wall<\/p>\n
Unyielding<\/p>\n
Something you run into<\/p>\n
At your own risk<\/p>\n
Realizing you\u2019ve reached a boundary<\/p>\n
That should not be crossed?<\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/p>\n
Or is truth something ineffable<\/p>\n
Something you discover by accident<\/p>\n
While in the process of loving someone?<\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/p>\n
Or is truth unattainable<\/p>\n
Something that is clearly out there<\/p>\n
And yet you can never full grasp it?<\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/p>\n
Or is truth irrelevant<\/p>\n
To ordinary day to day life<\/p>\n
Something only brought up<\/p>\n
In rare and necessary circumstances,<\/p>\n
When a cure or a conviction is needed?<\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/p>\n
Is truth bendable<\/p>\n
And does it matter when it\u2019s bent or manipulated<\/p>\n
What changes when that happens?<\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/p>\n
Or is truth an absolute,<\/p>\n
Such that there is no such thing as<\/p>\n
My truth or your truth, but only THE TRUTH<\/p>\n
Which is universally the same for everyone?<\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/p>\n
Is truth something that is discovered or recovered<\/p>\n
Or believed and received<\/p>\n
Does it come like a stone through a plate glass window<\/p>\n
Shattering the previous status quo?<\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/p>\n
But what if truth is a person,<\/p>\n
A great I AM.<\/p>\n
What if it\u2019s not an idea or an abstraction<\/p>\n
But a being, in fact THE Being<\/p>\n
That founded all things?<\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/p>\n
What if in the beginning was the Truth<\/p>\n
And the Truth was with God<\/p>\n
And the Truth was God,<\/p>\n
A God to whom all are answerable?<\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/p>\n
What if no clever questions like<\/p>\n
\u2018What is truth\u2019?<\/p>\n
Can help a person escape<\/p>\n
The claim truth has on them?<\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/p>\n
What if the alienated<\/p>\n
Must make a truce with truth<\/p>\n
And the lost must allow themselves to be found<\/p>\n
And the jaundiced must be surprised by joy?<\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/p>\n
What if the truth can indeed set you free?<\/p>\n
But free from what, or whom?<\/p>\n
Is freedom just freedom from, or is it also freedom to, or more importantly freedom for?<\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/p>\n
What if we are being pursued by truth<\/p>\n
All the while we are trying to catch up to it.<\/p>\n
