I thought it might be a good idea to take a moment with all of you to reflect upon all the women and men who sacrificed their lives and comfort to lift up the cause of black Americans here in the USA. I know my life has been deeply and profoundly enriched by the wisdom and heritage of my black friends and neighbors. Take a moment with me today to pray for God to continue to heal the scars of racism and inequality that still mar our nation, and to give thanks for the innumerable blessings that we have received through the faithful lives of black Americans in our history.<\/p>\nTake a listen to this beautiful song written by brothers James Weldon Johnson and John Rosamond Johnson in 1900.
