As I\u2019m sure you know, Pope Francis has called for tomorrow to be observed as a day of prayer\u00a0and fasting for peace in Syria. Joshua Gonnerman<\/a> gathered\u00a0a few\u00a0prayer resources, mostly from service books, for those who are interested\u00a0in them, to help people\u00a0join Pope Francis in prayer tomorrow.<\/i><\/div>\n

Almighty eternal God, source of all compassion,<\/div>\n
the promise of your mercy and saving help fills our hearts with hope.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Hear the cries of the people of Syria;<\/div>\n
bring healing to those suffering from the violence,<\/div>\n
and comfort to those mourning the dead.<\/div>\n
Empower and encourage Syria\u2019s neighbors<\/div>\n
in their care and welcome for refugees.<\/div>\n
