$\"The$ <\/a>Long time readers of this blog will know that I love the Jesus Prayer. The Jesus prayer<\/a> $\"\"$ is inspired by the prayer of the publican in Luke 8. I came to love it after reading The way of the Pilgrim <\/a> $\"\"$ (which is a must read book) $\"\"$ <\/p>\n

Traditionally\u00a0the prayer goes\u00a0\u201c\u039a\u03cd\u03c1\u03b9\u03b5 \u0399\u03b7\u03c3\u03bf\u03cd \u03a7\u03c1\u03b9\u03c3\u03c4\u03ad, \u03a5\u03b9\u03ad \u03c4\u03bf\u03c5 \u0398\u03b5\u03bf\u03cd, \u03b5\u03bb\u03ad\u03b7\u03c3\u03cc\u03bd \u03bc\u03b5 \u03c4\u03bf\u03bd \u03b1\u03bc\u03b1\u03c1\u03c4\u03c9\u03bb\u03cc\u03bd.\u201d Which is \u201cLord Jesus Christ, Son of God, have mercy on me, a sinner\u201d in english. There are however several variations on it.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s been a central prayer to the life of the church for at least fifteen centuries. and now there is a new documentary coming out inspired by it.<\/p>\n
