Here are just a few:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/bit.ly\/k13DnZ\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Letter from Denominational Leadership <\/a>\u2013 PCUSA<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=lbZcQa7fME8\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Video Message from the Moderator of the PCUSA<\/a> \u2013 Cindy Bolbach<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/t.co\/nEeLixR\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Presbyterians Clear Way For Gay Clergy<\/a> \u2013 NPR News<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.huffingtonpost.com\/bruce-reyeschow\/my-hopes-as-presbyterians_b_860101.html\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Cross Posting on The Huffington Post<\/a> \u2013\u00a0Commenting\u00a0fun<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Today the Presbyterian Church (USA) will most likely cross the threshold on a vote to change\u00a0language\u00a0in our constitution that, for more than a decade, has required ordained leadership in our church to hold a position of fidelity in marriage between a man and a woman or chastity in singleness. \u00a0The battle over this part of our constitution has been going on for years and, regardless of what people have tried to say, this has always been about homosexuality and whether or not we will recognize LGBT folks as being called into ordained\u00a0leadership\u00a0in the \u00a0Presbyterian\u00a0Church (USA).<\/p>\n<p>Over the years, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.patheos.com\/blogs\/breyeschow\/2011\/04\/27\/amendment-10a-letter-pcusa-moderators\/\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\">I \u00a0have been very clear about my position<\/a> on LGBT ordination knowing that I have the luxury of staying, serving and speaking out in the denomination. \u00a0Like so many, I have felt called to persevere on behalf of so many who are forced to live in secret, have left the church altogether and\/or have been harmed by the rhetoric and actions that have been part of our theological and\u00a0ideological\u00a0battles.<\/p>\n<p>Today or soon after, this will change for the\u00a0Presbyterian\u00a0Church (USA) and I am joyful at the core of my soul.<\/p>\n<p>I also know that there are many who will see this move as one more example of a church that is falling further away from God\u2019s intentions for humanity. \u00a0Some will leave our denomination, some will stay and fight and others will simply find a way to live in the midst of disagreement. \u00a0Anger will be spoken, sadness will be felt and many of our brothers and sisters will be in pain.<\/p>\n<p>My hope for the Presbyterian Church \u2013 <em>my family<\/em> \u2013 is this, that no matter where we land on the other side of this vote, we rise above any\u00a0language\u00a0or actions that would tear down the\u00a0dignity\u00a0of the other. \u00a0Whether righteous\u00a0indignation\u00a0or jubilant relief, <a href=\"http:\/\/twitter.com\/#!\/breyeschow\/status\/67979229735825408\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">I hope that\u00a0graciousness\u00a0will\u00a0reign<\/a>, for if we cannot sit in both joy and despair without having to resort to destroying one another then we dishonor the Body of Christ of which we are all a part.<\/p>\n<p>So this day, I will rejoice with many and I will weep with joy for friends long yearning for this day; but, I will be gracious to those for whom there will be no joy during this time in the life of our denomination for they too are my brothers and sisters in Christ.<\/p>\n<p>If you would like to track the most up-to-date results of voting you can <a href=\"http:\/\/twitter.com\/breyeschow\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">follow me on twitter<\/a> and or follow the twitter hashtags: <a href=\"http:\/\/twitter.com\/#!\/search?q=%2310A\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">#10a<\/a> or\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/twitter.com\/#!\/search?q=%23PCUSA\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">#pcusa<\/a>.
