As I\u2019ve said before, I sometimes struggle to raise Tripp.\u00a0 However, he does NOT use slurs.\u00a0 On the most recent episode of Life\u2019s a Tripp, the Huffington Post is reporting that my son said the word \u201cf-gg-t.\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n

This is not true.<\/p>\n

Let me be clear.\u00a0 I\u2019m not proud of what he did say.\u00a0 Sadly, he used a different \u201cf word.\u201d<\/p>\n

Lifetime filmed over 12 months (on and off) and they caught a moment on film that would cause any parent to be red in the face.\u00a0 Tripp is always surrounded by adults \u2013 around the campfires with cousins and their friends, at the shop with my dad and his snowmachine buddies.\u00a0 He\u2019s apparently picked up some language that I\u2019d prefer he not use. On national television or at home.<\/p>\n

I do oppose gay marriage, as I\u2019ve written about before<\/a> (and the HuffPo points out).\u00a0 I guess the temptation to label my three year old son is just too great for the lefty papers to resist.\u00a0 However, one of my new Twitter<\/a> followers made an excellent point.<\/p>\n

He tweeted that the left tries to hold my three year old son more accountable than their adult spokespeople<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In the meantime, my #IBuiltThis video is going viral<\/a> \u2014 with its message of real hope and classic American self-reliance.\u00a0 If you care more about the fate of our nation and culture than the verbal slips of a three-year-old, please watch.<\/p>\n
