A pre-school teacher in Texas was suspended, but not fired, after her employer found anti-Semitic hate speech on her social media.<\/p>\n

Her name is Nancy Salem. She is a Muslim student at the University of Texas-Arlington and is also a member of the very anti-Israel group Students for Justice in Palestine. Salem teaches pre-K kids at The Children\u2019s Courtyard in South Arlington. A hate watchdog group called Canary Mission found her offensive tweets and posted them online<\/a>:<\/p>\n

\u201c@DictatorHitler: How many Jews died in the Holocaust? Not enough\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cHave a safe trip Lulu. I love you baby girl! See you in 3 weeks! Kiss the Palestine ground for me and kill some jews!\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cHow was the copper wire invented? They threw a penny between two Jews.\u00a0LOLACHAUST.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201c@hanansalemxo: I hate Makki more than I hate Israeli Jews and math combined.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Once the pre-school found out, it issued the following statement:<\/p>\n

\u201cOur senior management team is working to address this matter. This in no way reflects the views of The Children\u2019s Courtyard. We strive to provide an inclusive environment for all children, families and staff members. We also expect our employees to uphold standards of personal and professional conduct.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Parents were outraged. Joyce Pustilnik said, \u201cYou have a pre-school teacher Nancy Salem working with little children. She is preaching murder of Jews. This is not the type of person who should have any contact with children. She should be fired immediately.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThis school should be sued,\u201d said Eva Najman. \u201cHow could you hire Nancy Salem, an activist with Students for Justice in Palestine at the University of Texas, Arlington to teach young children that \u2018justice\u2019 for \u2018Palestinians\u2019 means killing Jews? You should be shut down immediately.\u201d<\/p>\n

I don\u2019t understand why this woman wasn\u2019t fired. Why does it seem some people are more tolerant of anti-Jew hatred than for other ethnicities? Is it because she is a Muslim and the school is afraid of \u00a0being \u201cislamophobic?\u201d Whatever the reason, this is angering.<\/p>\n<\/body><\/html>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
