I\u2019m a sucker for all of these amazing stories out of Houston! \u00a0The Daily Mail<\/em> <\/a>reports:<\/p>\n

Gospel singers broke out in song at a Texas convention center on Tuesday night as the performers tried to lift spirits after thousands were evacuated from their homes during Hurricane and Tropical Storm Harvey.<\/p>\n

Victoria White, along with Marquist Taylor and several others, sang to evacuees at the Lone Star Expo Center in Conroe, Texas, north of Houston.<\/p>\n

Massive flooding from Harvey forced thousands of rescues that overwhelmed emergency responders as convention centers, churches and even mattress stores opened their doors to people needing shelter during the storm.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Of course, this video went viral. \u00a0It\u2019s such an inspiration to see people in\u00a0crisis situations looking to a higher power for comfort. \u00a0In July, Carter Conlon from Times Square Church in New York City tweeted, \u201cWhat looks to be a crisis can sometimes be an opportunity for God to show His power on behalf of His people.\u201d<\/p>\n

Though I wouldn\u2019t wish this disaster on any person, I hope that God has become real to those who are suffering. \u00a0Here are some Bible verses that might provide comfort in these trying times:<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.\u201d Psalm 34:18 NIV<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cFor I know the plans I have for you,\u201d declares the LORD, \u201cplans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.\u201d Jeremiah 29:11<\/span><\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n
