I got to know Shawn Johnson when she was on Dancing with the Stars<\/em> \u2014 she\u2019s a wonderful woman.\u00a0 Since then, the\u00a0Olympic gold medalist married her husband Andrew East.\u00a0 But she recently posted a video to YouTube that is absolutely heartbreaking.\u00a0 Here\u2019s the description:<\/p>\n

The past 48 hours have been some of the happiest, scariest, and saddest times of my life. My husband Andrew and I found out that we were unexpectedly pregnant, only to find out hours later some tragic news. I have been crying more than I ever have, but am still optimistic for what is next.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

In\u00a0her video, she talks about how\u00a0she\u00a0found out she was pregnant and then how she miscarried at 8 weeks. \u201cIt\u2019s been an emotional roller coaster. You go from shocked to \u2018holy crap\u2019 to \u2018I can\u2019t do this\u2019 to \u2018Let\u2019s do this\u2019 and now it\u2019s like, \u2018I pray to God I can do this.'\u201d<\/p>\n

But regrettably, it wasn\u2019t to be. ABC News<\/em> reports more about the video:<\/p>\n

\u201cHow am I going to tell Andrew?\u201d she said in an early part of the video. \u201cHe\u2019s going to be a daddy.\u201d<\/p>\n

Later, Johnson revealed that she had \u201cstarted having really bad stomach pains and a lot of bleeding, which is not good for a pregnancy.\u201d<\/p>\n

After several tests, doctors confirmed that Johnson had miscarried.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt sucks,\u201d Johnson said toward the end of the video. \u201cIt\u2019s definitely not fun. I felt like going into it we didn\u2019t even know if we were ready for it\u2026but having a doctor confirm that you miscarried doesn\u2019t feel good.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

This is what gets me.\u00a0 At the end of the video Andrew said to Shawn.\u00a0 \u201cWe\u2019ve grown through this, Babe, and I can\u2019t emphasize enough how proud I am of you.\u201d<\/p>\n

So sad.\u00a0 I cried when I watched this video, and my heart aches for Shawn and Andrew.\u00a0 Thank you, guys, for sharing your story.<\/p>\n
