Honestly, I don\u2019t care who is having sex with whom.\u00a0 But I wish that ALL Americans believed in FREEDOM.\u00a0 Liberals pretend to be oh-so-tolerant, but really they only want their side of an issue to have a voice.<\/p>\n

The latest example of this is at Georgetown University, where a Catholic student group is being threatened by a pro-LGBTQ group who filed a complaint against them.\u00a0 Why?\u00a0 Because the liberals believe that the Catholic group should lose their funding for \u201cfostering hate and intolerance.\u201d<\/p>\n

What did they do?\u00a0 Good question.\u00a0 You\u2019d think from their overreaction that they were out pushing around and bullying gay people. Of course, they did no such thing.\u00a0 The only \u201csin\u201d this Catholic group\u00a0had was the\u00a0gall to be Catholic.\u00a0 The Washington Post<\/em> reports:<\/p>\n

Love Saxa<\/a>\u00a0advocates for marriage as \u201ca monogamous and permanent union between a man and a woman,\u201d the group states in its\u00a0constitution.\u00a0 That definition of marriage happens to be in line with that\u00a0espoused by the Catholic Church,<\/a>\u00a0raising the question of how administrators at Georgetown, the United States\u2019 oldest Catholic and Jesuit institution of higher learning, will handle the controversy if it eventually comes before them.<\/p>\n

\u201cI suppose the question for Georgetown is whether they think Catholic kids can still be Catholic there,\u201d said Chad Pecknold, a theology professor at the Catholic University of America.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Right.\u00a0 Remember when colleges used to portray themselves as places where people of different viewpoints can come and challenge each other?\u00a0 Be challenged?\u00a0 No more.\u00a0 Now, it\u2019s a place where people never want to encounter people who are different than they are.\u00a0 And, by the way, half of Georgetown\u2019s student body identifies as Catholic.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re not trying to shame anyone for their choices or their decisions or who they are,\u201d Amelia Irvine \u2014 the president of Love Saxa \u2014 said. \u201cWe\u2019re trying to promote what\u00a0we think healthy relationships are, what we think sexual integrity is.\u201d<\/p>\n

Wow. She seems like she needs to be silenced, doesn\u2019t she?<\/p>\n

Colleges are full of crazy ideas and stupid practices.\u00a0 If Georgetown takes the funding away from these Catholics trying to follow church teaching, it will be a very sad day.<\/p>\n
