Many of you guys read about a fun game that my mom and dad always have us play called \u201cEskimo Bingo.\u201d\u00a0 Here is how my mom described it in her book, Good Tidings and Great Joy<\/em>:<\/p>\n When we arrive at the homes of our friends and families, we frequently play Eskimo Bingo<\/em>, a gift swapping game and the only time we enthusiastically encourage the kids to be greedy. Everyone brings a wrapped gift for exchange and places it on the floor. With a timer ticking, we roll dice in a pie tin and hope to get doubles so the gift-grabbing can begin. \u00a0Each person gets to \u201csteal\u201d presents from the center of our circle, even ones already nabbed. This might sound like a fun parlor game, but it gets intense. When someone unwraps something good and places it on the floor, even for a moment, it\u2019s fair game. \u00a0One year, a highly coveted box of homemade chocolates from a bakery in Indiana caused us to play well into the night. \u00a0(I ended up with that one because I\u2019m the mom, and I refused to let the game end until it ended well.) Some years, I\u2019ve ended up with one of the gag gifts \u2013 a singing fish wall plaque, a dusty old fossil from Dad\u2019s garage shelf, a warped tin sign that reads, \u201cGive me a beer, the in-laws are here.\u201d But Todd makes sure my real Christmas gifts are amazing.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n Anyway, I thought you guys would enjoy this Instagram video mom posted of what\u00a0the game looked like this Christmas season.<\/p>\n Watch the video below:<\/p>\n\n
