Dear Single Moms,<\/p>\n

A new Gallup study shows that there\u2019s a marriage gap in the Presidential race<\/a>.\u00a0 Married people tend be conservative, while singles tend to be liberal.\u00a0 If you\u2019re a single mom supporting Obama, then please don\u2019t believe these media myths:<\/p>\n

1.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/strong>Conservatives will judge you and hate you because your family doesn\u2019t fit the ideal stereotype:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Well, I\u2019m living proof that this isn\u2019t the case. I wish Tripp had both a mom and a dad in the same house, but he doesn\u2019t. Conservatives have always treated me kindly and lovingly.\u00a0 If you look at the comments section of any<\/a> of my blog<\/a> posts<\/a>, you will see that liberals are the ones who call me every name in the book.<\/p>\n

2.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/strong>The government will take better care of you than you can take care of yourself.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Everyone needs help in life.\u00a0 A lot of single moms have it pretty tough.\u00a0 But no one knows better what\u2019s best for you and the kids than you do.\u00a0 One of the worst parts of government help is government control. It limits your chances for you and your kids to succeed. <\/strong><\/p>\n

3.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/strong>Conservatism is a men-only-club.<\/strong><\/p>\n

There are many<\/a> wonderful<\/a> conservative<\/a> women<\/a> role models<\/a>.\u00a0 In fact, I think my mom is the best example!<\/p>\n

I know how hard it is to be a single mom, but please don\u2019t fall for these media myths.\u00a0 Be a strong, conservative, single mom!\u00a0 There are more of us than you think.<\/p>\n
