Did you see Maleficent? \u00a0You saw\u00a0Brenton Thwaites alongside Angelina Jolie \u2014 now he\u2019s starring in The Giver with Meryl Streep!<\/p>\n
MTV reports on some of the weird things that happen in the new adaptation of the book we\u2019re reading for book club.<\/p>\n
\u2026 through a large chunk of the movie, Thwaites is doing nothing but carrying a baby.<\/p>\n
A real baby.<\/p>\n
And what\u2019s that rule about show-business? Never work with kids or animals, but Thwaites, on \u201cThe Giver,\u201d did both.<\/p>\n
\u201cI could write a book on this answer,\u201d Thwaites said. \u201cThe short version goes\u2026 Yes, I was on set for months with a baby in my arms. The two beautiful twins that play Gabriel are amazing and were great scene partners. They were such responsive babies, so calm and relaxed (mostly).<\/p>\n
\u201cI had one scene with Gabriel in my arms and a cheetah walks past us eating a steak the size of a New York pizza. Planned and controlled, though still scary! Two huge don\u2019ts in film making, but we worked it!\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
I can\u2019t wait to see this movie \u2014 gotta finish the book first!<\/p>\n
