The reality of abortion is so much more disturbing than arguments about it. <\/p>\n

A nurse identified as \u201cJulia\u201d told Priests for Life why she quit working at a facility that performed abortions. She worked on a gynecology and tumor unit at a teaching hospital in North Carolina that also had 4 beds for abortions.<\/p>\n

The abortions performed on the floor were a kind called prostaglandin abortions \u2013 where labor is induced early. If the contractions didn\u2019t kill them, babies were purposely delivered too young to survive. \u201cBabies aborted by prostaglandin often have bruising over their entire bodies. For the most part, the abortion business stopped using prostaglandin because so many babies were born alive.\u201d<\/p>\n

After assisting on just 2 abortions, Julia started to change her mind <\/a>about abortion. She says the experience of abortion is much more powerful than just hearing about it or even seeing pictures. \u201cThere is a sensation of life, of a living thing. \u2026 Even a movie does not capture the whole picture,\u201d she explained.<\/p>\n

It only took a few more abortions before Julia was convinced she couldn\u2019t participate in these babies\u2019 deaths anymore.<\/p>\n

Now instead of performing abortions, Julia wants to do all she can to end abortion.<\/p>\n
