As many of us head back to school, events are still unfolding in Ferguson, Missouri<\/a>. \u00a0Protests have been expanding since white police officer Darren Wilson fatally shot unarmed teenager Michael Brown on August 9. \u00a0Some young people will know what has been going on, and some will not. \u00a0Some will relate to the anger playing out in the streets, and some will not. \u00a0Many will not understand the history, politics, sociology, and psychology at work in these days now turning to weeks.<\/p>\n On August 17, Dr. Marcia Chatelain t<\/a>weeted\u00a0a call for resources for parents and educators to talk to young people heading back to school with the hashtag #FergusonSyllabus<\/a>. \u00a0She and others began collecting and retweeting<\/a> responses with resources appropriate for a wide range of levels, from kindergarten to graduate school. \u00a0The collection includes books, articles, videos, images, links, authors, and so much more. \u00a0It spans history and politics, religion and psychology, recent and not-so-recent U.S. events.<\/p>\n I can\u2019t think of a better back-to-school resource from which so many people can learn.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n
