Mother Mary pray for me<\/p>\n
I forgot to say my Rosary<\/p>\n
Not to mention I sin a lot<\/p>\n
You are pure and I am not<\/p>\n
Please ask your Son to rescue me<\/p>\n
I need His help I\u2019m sure you see<\/p>\n
Sometimes I desire to get away and pray<\/p>\n
Finally found the time today<\/p>\n
So, I kneel before this Bread made Lord<\/p>\n
And lay my sins out on the board<\/p>\n
I am selfish and lazy too<\/p>\n
I don\u2019t do what I ought to do<\/p>\n
I am heartily sorry for having offending He<\/p>\n

Do you Have a Relationship with Mary?<\/strong><\/p>\n I have had people ask me how my relationship with Jesus is; or if I have one.\u00a0 That was mostly as a college student.\u00a0 As it happens, I don\u2019t think I have anyone ask me how my relationship is between His mother and I.<\/p>\n Well, we grew up going to Saint Mary Star of the Sea Church.\u00a0 Not until I read a book about Fatima did I hear any one use the term \u201cOur Lady\u201d talking about Mary.\u00a0 We just called her Mary.\u00a0 I taught myself the rosary with a small book I picked up at a Catholic shop on a field trip with our Confirmation class.\u00a0 Once in a while they would teach the Rosary in catechism class but that was only a few times over the many years, and not often enough for us to remember it.\u00a0 I had asked my parents about the Rosary and was told it was a bunch of Hail Marys.<\/p>\n I remember my response when we were about ten and my sister asked at the dinner table, \u201cWhat\u2019s a virgin?\u201d\u00a0 My parents laughed and asked if I knew.\u00a0 My response was just as innocent as my twin sister\u2019s question. \u201cA saint, like Mary or something?\u201d\u00a0 They were still trying not to laugh and probably thought it was cute.<\/p>\n I remember, as a child, thinking the song Amazing Grace by John Newton was about Mary. She was after all, full of grace.\u00a0 She was Jesus\u2019 mother and a pure white marble looking statue to the left of the alter, and the name of our parish church. How was I supposed to know that Star of the Sea was a title for Mary? \u00a0I thought it was part of the title of our church as it was just down the street from Scarborough and Olivo\u2019s State Beaches.\u00a0 There were fishing boats docked only a few miles away.\u00a0 We also always prayed \u201cthat the men, and women who harvest the sea will be aware of your love and protection and be brought safely home to port.\u201d during the Prayer of the Faithful.-Wow I still remember the words to that; wow!<\/p>\n So, I guess I did not have an official relation with Saint Mary in spite of, or because I was a child in the parish before kindergarten.\u00a0 By high school I sought a relationship with Mary.\u00a0 I think it was because we were given a book by a catechism teacher talking about Fatima.\u00a0 She attempted to teach us how to say the Rosary.\u00a0 It took me years into college before I got use to using terms like \u201cOur Lady of\u2026\u201d because of the daily Mass, older population, that I was spending time with off campus.<\/p>\n Now the words Our Lady of Mount Carmel can roll so easily off my tongue and my prayers to the Blessed Mother can come so easily thanks be to God.<\/p>\n Yes, I have a relationship with her and her Son.<\/p>\n Do you?<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<\/body><\/html>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Mother Mary Pray For Me: Mother Mary pray for me I forgot to say my Rosary Not to mention I sin a lot You are pure and I am not Please ask your Son to rescue me I need His help I\u2019m sure you see Sometimes I desire to get away and pray Finally found […]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":4357,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[191,1],"tags":[193,40],"class_list":["post-173","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-mary","category-uncategorized","tag-mary","tag-personal"],"yoast_head":"\n![\"\"](\"https:\/\/wp-media.patheos.com\/blogs\/sites\/1316\/2020\/05\/baby-kissing-mary-223x300.jpg\")
