<\/a>Mother\u2019s Day is fast approaching, and I thought this would be a perfect time to endorse a wonderful little prayer book by Donna-Marie Cooper O\u2019Boyle specifically for mothers.\u00a0 Catholic Prayer Book for Mothers<\/a>\u00a0<\/em>comes highly recommended by my lovely wife, Laura, who is also the wonderful mother to our five children. \u00a0Here\u2019s what she has to say.<\/p>\nMothering is a blessed and rewarding job, however, at times (okay, may times!), it is challenging and downright painful!\u00a0 Countless times us mothers think we can do it all alone, but the truth is we cannot.\u00a0 We need God\u2019s help.\u00a0 We need to turn to him.\u00a0 Donna-Marie Cooper O\u2019Boyle has helped mothers with their momentous task of raising their children and offering their lives as a prayer to God by giving us the Catholic Prayer Book for Mothers<\/em>.\u00a0 Donna-Marie says it best in the Introduction \u2013 \u201cA faithful mother soon learns that in order to survive, her life should become a prayer.\u201d<\/p>\n This prayer book has some of the most beautiful prayers for mothers \u2013 Mother\u2019s Daily Prayer for Her Children, Prayer to the Blessed Mother, Mother\u2019s Prayer for Grace to Correct a Child Properly, Prayer of Spouses for Each Other, Prayer to Jesus, and so many more.\u00a0 In addition to prayers, each chapter contains quotes from saints; Bible verses; insights; and a stimulating reflection to ponder making it a wonderful resource for encouragement to help mothers through their day-to-day lives.\u00a0 With its hardback cover and glossy pages, this 64-page book should withstand daily use for years to come.<\/p>\n This little gem is not only a prayer book, but also a great inspiration to mothers in their vocation.\u00a0 It can be used as a daily reminder of the importance of motherhood and in keeping our hearts toward heaven in the mist of our interruptions and daily chores.\u00a0 My hope is that this book will touch other mothers as much as it has touched my own.<\/p>\n _____________________________________________________________________________________________________
