For this powerful name has in it the virtue of obtaining help and life for him who invokes it devoutly.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>To sum up, \u201cThis admirable name of our sovereign Lady,\u201d says Richard of Saint Lawrence, \u201cis like a fortified tower. If a sinner takes refuge in it, he will be delivered from death; for it defends and saves even the most abandoned.\u201d But it is a tower of strength that not only delivers sinners from chastisement, but also defends the righteous from the assaults of hell.\u00a0\u2014St. Alphonsus Liguori, The Glories of Mary<\/p>\n<p><strong>IN GOD\u2019S PRESENCE, CONSIDER . . .<\/strong><br>\nWhat does it mean to say that Mary\u2019s name is strong and powerful?
